This is the prototype of a digital service. It has been designed as if Google designed it - Google wasn't involved in any way in this project. No partnership exists between Google, Ghostery, B Corporation, Trustpilot, Alexa, and NewsGuard. I hope no one (especially at Google) gets upset/hurt as a consequence of this project - I hope I don't have to spend the rest of my life paying the Google lawsuit.

About this project.

Gugol Safe Web does not exist – this page is just a prototype to show how this tool may look like. Here’s the rational behind this project.

Internet is a space where we spend an increasing amount of time, and where we do more and more stuff. Today, we use the Internet to buy and sell, to read news, to connect with complete strangers and sleep at their place.

Internet has its downsides though: it’s also a fertile ground for malicious behaviours – scam, cyber attacks, fishing, misleading information and fake news.

The challenge, then, is: how might we help people browse the Internet, raising awareness over potential risks?

Inspired by NewsGuard Chrome Extension, Gugol Safe Web imagines a small “traffic light” feedback to appear before every link when browsing the web through browser.
